Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) & Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
StableNet® technology revolutionizes the management of large heterogeneous network infrastructures
StableNet® Architecture
StableNet® offers open interfaces (e.g. REST) to allow an easy integration in your existing IT service infrastructure. Our unified management approach combined with our licensing model helps you to reduce CAPEX and OPEX cost. Moreover, StableNet® is designed to map with the state-of-the-art service-oriented architecture as recommended by TM Forum, where Infosim® is a long-term active member.
StableNet® extends the boundaries of your network and services monitoring by incorporating your local infrastructure and cloud management.

StableNet® APIs
In addition, there is a powerful APIs that can be used to attach IT management systems and OSS/BSS solutions heading towards an automated Zero-Touch IT Services Operations Center.
StableNet® contains multiple open application programming interfaces (APIs) that enable the integration with third-party systems.

High Availability (HA)
- Cold Standby and High Availability options allow for eliminating single points of failure, protection against potential data loss, ensuring access to current data, and decreasing downtime.
Customization
- Integration of many individual technical processes, devices, etc. beyond general standard protocols.
OSS and IT integration
- StableNet® supports multiple open interfaces to ease the integration within the IT environment without modifications to the system.
Your RoI
Scalability
- Multi-processing scalability via distributed StableNet® Agents.
Vendor-agnostic
- StableNet® does support a large library of multi-vendor standard and vendor-specific devices.
Cross-silo
- As a single-pane-of-glass solution, StableNet® provides discovery & inventory, performance, fault, and configuration management on a unified data platform.
Integration of business process monitoring scripts
- Customizing StableNet® to your individual business processes enables holistic monitoring, without the need to restructure existing business processes.
Dynamic Rule Generation (DRG)
Your Challenge
Scalability vs. Aggregation?
Classic fault management approaches include a built-in dilemma: Scalability vs. Aggregation.
On the one hand it is unfeasible to pre-create all possible rules, while on the other hand not having enough rules will leave you with insufficient data to troubleshoot complex scenarios. In addition, more network elements lead to more rules.
Our Solution
The first self-regulating Root Cause Analysis
Dynamic Rule Generation (DRG) expands and contracts rules that automatically troubleshoot your network by anticipating all possible scenarios from master rule sets
DRG is like cruise control for your network rule set. It can automatically expand and contract rule sets to keep troubleshooting data at optimum levels constantly, without human intervention.
The StableNet® Discovery generates most of the rules automatically. Further, individual business processes and workflows can be designed on rule sets.
StableNet® allows for bi-directional ticket integration which can be customized for automated troubleshooting via alarm scripts according to your individual business workflows.
With StableNet®, standard workflows can be automated, enabling you to focus on the really important issues in your network. Less rules – less maintenance efforts!
Stop manually creating rules! Take your hands off the keyboard and allow the DRG cruise control to take over!
Learn more about DRG in our webinar recording on YouTube.
Technical Benefits
Master rule sets
- Making sure all required rules are met, without manual pre-creation, providing you with sufficient data.
Auto-troubleshooting
- Bi-directional ticket integration which can be customized to your business workflows.
Rules are kept up to date
- A new monitor for each unique alarm that meets its filter criterion is created; the dynamically created monitor only reacts on the value automatically inserted in the monitor property.
Combine events and measurements
- DRG works for syslog, trap, status, and script measurements.
Your RoI
Dark NOC
- Reduced need for human intervention due to robotically expanding and contracting rule sets.
Transparency
- Enabling of a swift service impact analysis.
Business processes
- Monitoring not only of technical events but also of business processes.
Unified approach
- Because StableNet® is a unified network management solution, fault management contains all network information.
Automated Provisioning & Orchestration
Zero-touch flow-through provisioning
Backup Configuration
- Backup and restore of network device and systems configurations, backup jobs (scheduled, on-demand, or ad-hoc), system-aided comparison of backed-up configurations.
Centralized Device Configuration
- Efficient handling of Configuration Jobs by centrally controlled, distributed StableNet® Agents, mass configurations (tracking errors, replays for error fixing, etc.).
Compliance & Policy Management
- Policy checks on devices and systems and execution of defined configuration actions via distributed StableNet® Agents.
Vulnerability Management
- Vulnerability checking on network devices, security compliance checking (e.g. PCI-DSS, NSA recommendation, etc.).
EoL & EoS Management
- Identify and report on network and IT devices being listed End-of-Life, respectively End-of-Services (but it is likely that you are still paying maintenance on).
Security Management
- Discovery of network and services infrastructure and topology, inventory and change tracking, systems security and role-based access control.
StableNet® automates provisioning of services and configuration of elements
Technical Benefits
Fast Workflow
- Less manual steps, less repetitions of naive activities during provisioning.
Automation
- Execution of automated installation and management of services and devices, administer compliance processes, etc.
Stay in control
- Effective management of complex infrastructures consisting of many different technical systems.
Your RoI
Elimination of risks
- Automation reduces risks associated with human error.
Compliance
- Ensuring of compliance processes.
Cost savings
- Save time and costs in the duplication of workflow setup, policy definition, and other time-consuming repetitive tasks through the provision and orchestration tools within StableNet®.
Tagging & Grouping - A key to automation
A small revolution in the way that data can be handled for management and orchestration
See Tagging and Grouping in action in our webinar recording on YouTube.
Unlimited, dynamic structure of elements
Tagging in StableNet® does practically allow for a complete flexibility of any mix of tagging attributes and the order the tree navigation will show up.
Tagging uses an “inheritance data model”. The inventory tree hierarchy can be modified or configured as required. Multiple tree type views can be preset or can be set even ad-hoc. For example, you can create a view with a first level containing countries, the second level cities, and the third level the brand of the routers.
With the StableNet® Tagging and Grouping capabilities, you have all the relevant network data at your fingertips. Large amounts of information can be correlated and processed helping you to focus on your individual tasks and optimize your daily workflows.
Tagging is more than just unlimited categories

Full Flexibility
Inventory/Topology/Weather Maps
- (Auto-)creation of modifiable Weather Maps that can be navigated in any way via backward and forward linking to drill-down and drill-up.
Map Views
- OpenStreet Maps to zoom-in and zoom-out as well as map views with the element views related to the zoom level.
Many Tree Type Views are possible, e.g.
- Vendor – Model – Device
- Service – Area – Utilization
- Service Problem – “Corporate Customer” – Affected Area
- Service Problem – Vendor – “Most Affected Devices”
- Service Issue – Causing Sub-Service – “Causing System”
- Device “Capacity PM Issue” – Affected Services – Affected Customers
Technical Benefits
Flexible filtering and grouping
- Elements can be easily filtered or grouped together (including AND, OR, NOT, and nesting).
Multiple tree type views
- Tree hierarchy can be configured and modified according to your requirements.
Element selection
- Elements are auto-positioned during discovery into the navigation tree e.g. by their domain, type, and relations; they can also be moved and grouped within the tree structure to map to organizational structures.
Access
- Generic access to attributes and user-definable content of all related objects.
Your RoI
Data at your fingertips
- Relations and inheritance in the various tree type views provide full flexibility with accessing the needed data allowing to make adequate decisions.
Analysis and reporting
- By tree navigation and by combination via element selection elements can be easily grouped together for real-time analysis and reporting, as well as history reporting.
