Canadian rural-focused broadband operator Xplornet has announced its latest batch of network tower deployments, noting that between its last tower update (in late December – reporting twelve new towers) and early February, it built and switched on 70 additional towers across rural areas. The new towers are located across nine Canadian provinces from the Prairies to the Atlantic coast, namely: Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. All towers are equipped with next-generation technology supporting fixed-wireless data speeds up to 50Mbps, with unlimited monthly data volume packages available to all subscribers.

Thanks to TeleGeography for this industry update.
