Content Assurance
IPTV content or payload quality on the ingress of the Head End is critical. Any flaws associated with the payload at this point cannot be corrected later and will simply appear as poor quality on the subscribers TV. Head End monitoring not only guarantees the quality of the content being delivered to the subscriber, but enables the Service Provider monitor the quality of the content being supplied to them. IPTV Head End
Head Ends gather video/audio content from various sources, each source may have varying content format, plus a separate device path and interfaces. After content acquisition Service Providers will manipulate the content before final transportation of the content within the IP network.
Satellite Content IPTV services may receive live content such as News or Sports events via satellite feeds.
Content Replay Servers Providers have the ability to provide on demand programming through scheduling or by replay from storage devices.
Content Customization Customization includes logo keying devices and other revenue generators for the Service Provider which includes ad insertion which requires video splicing equipment.
